By March 1, 2017News

The NFRN Mutual is opening its doors to a wider range of independent retailers.

The NFRN Mutual has been proudly supporting its members for over 17 years, becoming a first port of call for many high-street news retailers looking for competitive business, home and landlord cover.

With the retail landscape constantly evolving, so too is the Mutual. Regularly honing its products and services, it is dedicated to meeting both the current and future needs of its Members. Building on its heritage, it is embarking on an exciting growth plan to expand its membership and extend its product offerings to a wider range of independent retailers. Its mission is to become a one-stop-shop for the diverse cover needs of retailers all over the UK; from pubs to post offices, confectioners to clothes shops, farm shops to florists, and many more in between.

To support its growth strategy and broadened focus, it will be adopting a new trading name – The Retail Mutual. This new brand identity will reflect its position at the heart of the high street, supporting independent retailers from a wider range of sectors whilst remaining committed to its core Membership of newsagents and convenience store owners.

Peter Wagg, the Chairman of The Retail Mutual says, “This is an exciting development for the Mutual, and is the culmination of extensive research and planning. We take great pride in the community we have built and we look forward to being able to extend this sense of community to the broader independent retail sectors”.

The Retail Mutual is an alternative to traditional insurance, specialising in providing business, home and landlord cover to a wide range of independent retailers. It takes pride in offering better group buying leverage, adopting a more sympathetic approach to claims handling and creating a sense of community that helps it to stand apart from the competition.
